the photo shoot went great!!! it was really exciting to create an entire look and see the dresses come alive on a model (aka my friends). the girls looked amazing during the shoot... i can't wait to see the results.

BALLOONS IN BLOOM

Balloons in Bloom is my newest design project. the assignment was to make a red carpet dress that was innovative. the dress has balloons on it that were made to resemble flowers. my inspiration was a mix of spring flowers mixed with artificial materials, like the balloons and fishnets used in the design. i'm really happy with how it turned out and will post pictures of the real photo shoot once it happens.

my sailor inspired jacket.

so, originally i planned to have a very classic jacket. but after everyone saying it looked to boring, i decided to go wild with embellishments. i tried to stay away from tacky, and i wanted it to be very eclectic like me. so i hope it shows! i spent a few late nights on this sucker.the patterns themselves were my design, a first, so i'm way proud.

embellishments used: push pins,wire, gold buttons, kitty buttons,gold safety pins, gold trim, earrings, a broken necklace, a broken rosary, and bobby pins.

Just bought the Ronettes "Be My Baby" single on vinyl for my NEW RECORD PLAYER. did i forget to mention that? sawwy, ya'll.

Anywho, as short as it is, i almost forgot how sweet that song is. also has "So Young" on it, which i love.
